7 Unconventional Ways to Build Your Confidence

Self confidence is something we have all struggled through and some may still be working on it. Being confident in yourself and believing you can overcome a task may be something difficult knowing you could fail or be judged. If you are someone still struggling to build self confidence you must learn how to be comfortable with yourself and accept that not one person is perfect and it’s ok to fail and make mistakes .According to marcandangel one must take chances that you are comfortable with, not fear failure, accept when you are wrong, spread positivity, block all negativity, and most importantly do not hold yourself back and wait for the “right moment” because you are the one that makes the moment right.

Doubting yourself is one of the major reasons why you lack confidence in yourself. Always be confident enough in what you are doing even if it makes you look odd. It’s ok to look silly and embarrass yourself once in awhile .  Its very important to grow inner strength and to put yourself through situations where you will learn how to become comfortable with unknown things to you. Although you may be unfamiliar with certain things it’s good to get out your comfort zone and try new things.

Marc talks about being ok with failing. Failure is something that most people including myself are afraid of. Some may see it as a sign of weakness but it should actually be seen as strength. “Failing is a process of learning” and growing into a mature person. It is ok to be wrong, some people don’t like to admit that  they are wrong and that keeps them from learning from their mistakes. In order to build confidence your mind has to be ok with messing up.  If you fail you must not give up.It helps you rise and shows you how you still can. Fear of failure can be because people are afraid of being judged. I cannot stress enough how important it is to ignore the negativity whether if it is coming  from  yourself or from  someone else. What someone else says about you should not matter and should be ignored.Someone’s opinion should not be a reason for not having confidence .   “Accept no one’s definition of your life expect your own , and seek approval only from the people who truly matter in your life.”

Complimenting others and helping them smile can help grow confidence. It is always nice to get a compliment from someone or to give someone a compliment.Spreading positivity and kindness can make the world a better place. Thinking negative usually leads to gossip ,Marc mentions that to break this cycle people should start praising others. Helping others and knowing that you made someone smile can then make you feel better about yourself. “By looking for the best in others, you indirectly bring out the best in yourself”. Compliment  someone’s outfit. If a classmate aces a test congratulate them. If you have an opportunity to make someone smile , do it ! Positivity can also be spread by laughter. Laughing at frustration can lift your spirit. Laughing and letting go can grow confidence within yourself. It makes you think positive and reawaken your confidence of all the possibilities that there still is.

We so often tend to leave everything until later. We think that we should wait for the “right moment” but does it really exist? It does not. You are the one making the moment right. Make things happen right now and stop the wait. You can take it step by step and grow capability and more confident in the steps you are going to take. Confidence is key, with confidence you can overcome just about anything if you put your mind into.
