USA’s latest Barbie doll
Megan Fox, the only girl with the ability to turn the heads of not only the male populace, but the females’ as well, is a 23-year-old actress who has recently acquired the taste of fame. Loved by many, envied by most, Megan has become the symbol of everything a perfect girl should be. While she is most known for her supporting role as Mikaela Banes, Shia LaBeouf’s love interest in Transformers, she has also starred in movies such as Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen and tv shows like What I Like About You and Hope and Faith. While Megan is certainly thousands of miles apart from the titles famous celebrities such as Angelina Jolie and Meryl Streep have earned, what exactly makes her different from the pool of other actresses? The answer is simple. This young lady has a body worth dying for and that confidence she exudes when stepping out to the crowd is what makes her even more appealing. In a sense, she brings the term “flaunt what you’ve got” to new levels.
According to an article in the Anchorage Daily News, many girls feel a pressure to be thin because of what they see in the media. Unfortunately, the strive to be what society may believe is “thin” is a struggle teenage girls have faced over countless years. But none more so than when Megan Fox was introduced to the world. After July 3rd of 2007, the release of the movie Transformers, the obsession to be thinner than what is scientifically considered normal began to formulate. Girls around the country felt a stronger sense of insecurity and developed a mindset that believed that society would love them if they were as beautiful -or strikingly toned- as Megan Fox. Though many girls choose to deny ever thinking such things, as proven by a question posted on Yahoo, this does not hold true for the others. And who can really blame these girls? Megan Fox has earned herself the title of being the 2nd hottest girl, (based on Maxim’s Top 100) but is she really the girl you see in photographs?
Granted, she is breathtakingly beautiful, but what has managed to shock many viewers and teenagers alike is the fact that the Megan Fox seen on the big screen is actually drastically different than the Megan Fox on the red carpet. Meet Jason Pack and John Kalter, the creators of Megan Fox: The CGI.
For those who don’t already know, CGI stands for computer-generated imagery, which is an application designed to graphically enhance videos, as well as animation. This use of technology has been performed for more than just viewer’s entertainment; it’s been used to visually alter a person’s image. Yes, Megan Fox is, in fact, nothing more than just animatronics: mechanical puppets used as a replacement for moving objects. She is a digital creation programmed to sell and amplify the theatrical experience to substantial measures. Yet the media finds this as no surprise. After all, many celebrities undergo a procedure known as “retouching”, which is the act of beautifying a photograph of oneself to seem more attractive. But what makes Megan any more different than the others? To be quite honest the answer is unknown. It may be due to the fact that she has the “it” factor, or because even untouched she manages to exude perfection.
I believe that while the pressure to be thin can be highly accountable to Megan, it certainly is not the sole factor. It just goes to show that even the most flawless of girls can be just as imperfect as the rest of us.

This is an interesting blog!
Love Megan Fox, she’s the best!
Enjoyed reading this!
Nice blog! I personally think Megan Fox is bomb even without the retouching. Interesting obersvations AlizenChains.
hey alizen!!
Great blog! You brought up an interesting point!! Enjoyed reading and learned something new!!!!
Outstanding blog! I can’t thank you enough for such a sweet comment you left on mine, so i was for sure going to return the favor. Keep up the amazing writing… :]
Nice post for your first weekly reader. I think women too often look at someone like this girl on the big screen and feel envious. Then go out and try to do what they can to achieve that look. You did a good job of showing us that it isn’t even possible!
BTW your blog is set-up nicely. I like this theme, very clean and easy to navigate. Nice addition of your links too.
Hey alizen,
Wow great job on the blog!!! It was very interesting and I enjoyed reading it. Everything you mentioned is true, like the part where many girls try to look like the girls/women in magazines and/or movies. Anyways, awsome job hehe =]]
Wow! I did not know that Megan Fox’s image is touched up in the actual movie. I knew that she has photographs retouched because every actress does. They have people who touch up there photos for a living. Megan Fox is really pretty, but she kind of has a cocky personality. I think that Jessica Alba is much prettier because she comes of as sweet and genuine. Megan Fox kinda comes out like the popular girl in high school TV shows, who is a mean and cruel girl that loves to flaunt herself and make other girls cry, but just a little.
I love how you including the seen on the bike because I hate it. No one would ever paint like that. It was just so weird and out of place.
Great Job on your post!!!!
