Student Absences

Feb 27

I’ve added a calendar for students who give me notice that they are going to be out a week in advance. This way you can be sure if you’ve notified me or not by checking to make sure your name has been added. This should be more efficient than my previous little scraps of paper. :-)

Website Changes

Feb 18

Really and truly I am finally done, and pretty happy, with the website changes. In addition to the overall look I’ve made some other changes I hope you like:

1. Student blogs are all listed under the “blogs” tab.

2. I’ve added a contact tab where you can easily send me a message.

3. The biggest change you will find is the “instruction” tab. There you will find the blogging instructions and websites, in addition to any other generic, non-class specific, instructions you might need.

4. I’ve changed the “docs” page (now called “important docs”) so that people with iOS devices should be able to access the content without issue. You should just click on the button for whatever it is you want to view and you will be taken to that page. Be sure and let me know if the new system doesn’t work.

5. This last item isn’t a new change but people are still having problems posting their scribe posts. You just need to type your message into the comment box, click “post as” in the lower right corner. When the box pops up it defaults to guest. Just type in your email. In the your name box type:

FIRST NAME FIRST INTIAL OF LAST NAME AND THE DATE OF THE SCRIBE.

So if I were posting for today I would type: Paige L 2/18/12.

PLEASE make sure you follow this format.

Sarah Kay’s Poem

Print Friendly Button

Nov 18

See that cute little print button that’s now at the bottom of each post ↓. That’s a cool little print and/or e-mail feature. Try it. Go ahead and click it. I dare you. Okay…silly, but might come in handy. I’ve enabled it sitewide so that if you want the feature on your blog you can have it too.

Calendar View

Oct 21

I was alerted today to a “glitch” when trying to view homework on the calendar. Sometimes it may get cut off when you click the “more details”. The way around that is to click on the “agenda” view and then everything should show up properly.
