Fast food restaurants are the quotation of America. Every corner you turn there is a fast food restaurant. We all love it; we all hate it. We crave it, we despise it. It is the delicious part of our day but we were advised to stay away from the horrible deep fried and greasy meals. Some haughty people say fast food meals are too beneath them; they prefer their food to be beautifully crafted. Well, pray no more! A very creative person creates 5 star culinary meals out of fast food meals. How, you ask? I don’t know. Let’s find out.

Erik Trinidad, a web designer, makes fast food fancy. Remember those nasty looking chicken nuggets? They transformed into a beautifully crafted 5 course dish.

What he does is he goes to a fast food restaurant, buys their food, goes home, and transforms them into something worthy of eating. His rule is to only use the stuff he bought from that fast food chain. He doesn’t add any extra ingredients, not even water.

For example, (my favorite) he turned a Jack-in-the-box meal into a jack in the bento. It looks like a very expensive dish, when in reality, it’s just Jack in the Box. For the sauce, he used coke. Yes, the drink. He boils the coke to evaporate the water and then he separates, mixes, cuts, bakes, etc the remaining pieces until it transform into a beautiful meal. If you want to try it, then go ahead! He was nice enough to post the ingredients and the directions online. Who’s brave enough to try it? I dare you to eat it.

This is so awesome because Erik has never had a class in culinary art. He just uses his free time and creativity to perform these transformation tricks. He has millions of followers and he is making books. He has gotten successful out of his creations. Preparing food is a skill. Making it look nice and presentable is a form of art. Many people forget the beauty and the fun of prepping the food to look nice and presentable. Most people would just shove anything in their faces without looking at the presentation anymore. (I know I do.) The food is still unhealthy, but it looks nice.

What do you think? Does the food seem more desirable to you if it looks presentable? I know I just shove everything in my mouth, but sometimes it has to look nice. So check out these interesting sites and try the recipes! Tell me how that goes.
